Software vendors certified by BRC to deliver TVM data under the Calculation and Reporting Rules
What certification means
A BRC-certified vendor has demonstrated, to BRC’s satisfaction, a compliant implementation of the TVM Calculation and Reporting Rules. Certification is designed to ensure that official TVM calculations are applied consistently across certified software. Certification does not constitute an endorsement of a vendor’s commercial products, services or pricing.
What certification does not mean
BRC certification relates specifically to a vendor’s implementation of the TVM Calculation and Reporting Rules. It does not assess or endorse the vendor’s pricing, user interface, customer service, additional analytics or other commercial features.
What certification covers
- Correct computation of ratings, reach and frequency at the applicable reporting levels, and Share at Broadcaster Total TV level only, in accordance with the Calculation and Reporting Rules.
- Correct application of the two universes (individuals 4+ in TV homes; individuals 15+ across the Total Video universe) at the two reporting levels (Broadcaster Total TV and Total Video).
- Correct handling of reporting windows: overnight (Day 0), Day 0–7 as the primary official window, and Day 0–27 as non-currency.
- Correct attribution logic — broadcast-centric by default, with channel-level attribution for connected-TV viewing via content and audio matching.
- Mandatory disclosure of reporting level, universe, demographic base and window on every published figure.
- Aggregation and comparison rules across days, broadcasts, campaigns, channels and channel groups.

| Mid-2027 | Re-certification against a future Calculation & Reporting Rules release for the mid-2027 methodology upgrade (programme- and episode-level detail on digital). |
